Misery Loves Company

What's "typical" when it comes to dating? These are questions I've been asking myself after hanging out with a particular person for about a month now. I've seen him about 3 times and we've emailed and texted each other fairly often. All I know is that while I'm trying to figure it out, support from friends is a nice thing to have. Instead I made the mistake in confiding in someone who is angry and resentful and has chosen to take it out on me, claiming the extent of this relationship was basically texting and therefore insignificant. What does she expect, that I should be married by now? Point is, I don't take this type of behavior lightly. Mean people don't have a place in my life.
