Valentine's day, blah blah blah

In the past, Valentine's day has not meant much to me, whether or not I was dating someone. This year seems to be different somehow. I can hardly wait for tomorrow to come and go and February 15th to arrive. Perhaps it's other people's reaction to the holiday that has had a negative effect on me. One single friend walked by my cubicle today and starts in with "ugh! tomorrow is Valentine's day, it's gonna suck!" If I wasn't happy about it before, now I'm downright depressed. It's so contagious. To add to it, I have to stare at countless websites like "What to get your guy for Valentines" or "Why I hate Valentine's day." But hey, I'm not one to feel sorry for myself for too long. I have to work late, which will actually be good for me. Afterwards, I will head to dinner with a friend and then accompany her to a group meeting she needs to attend. Hey, love takes lots of different forms.
