Look Ma' I can cook!

So I've been making Pesto alot these last few months. Now that the cold weather will be coming soon (maybe) my basil plant probably won't last much longer, which means I won't be making it again until next summer. So I figured I would record the process. I've been making a little extra the last couple times to freeze, especially since Tbear loves this stuff! Glad he appreciates my cooking. I'm trying!


Basil, rinsed, stems off.


Then I chop pinenuts and garlic



Throw in basil and olive oil


Mix it in pasta




Add grated pecorino romano. Seriously easy.

Wow! I am impressed! I enjoy making pesto too. I'm sure yours is better, since you're Italian and all. :)

yum yum yum! also, fresh basil is great to use on caprese salad!
