Mission Inn

I've been wanting to check out this place for awhile and I finally got the chance on Friday. It's a gorgeous, spanish style hotel in Riverside built in the late 1800's. My mom loved the hotel too, especially since it felt very European. I became somewhat obsessed with spanish colonial style chapels when I was planning my wedding and I knew this place had one. Although my wedding plans went to hell, I still admire the architecture of these chapels. Unfortunately they closed the chapel doors to the public and I only got a glimpse of the interior. I know most of my friends won't find themselves heading towards Riverside anytime soon, but if you do, check it out!

Oh yea, across the pedestrian walkway from the hotel, there are a few cute shops to browse in. Not to mention a great Bistro/Bakery called Simple Simons. The sandwiches are to die for! You could probably kill a couple hours around the area.
